Rehkow's incredible kick sent his Spokane, Wash. high school into overtime, where his team eventually won the game 62-55 over Shadle Park.
Perhaps even more amazing is that Rehkow's kick didn't break a high school record. According to MaxPreps, that honor belongs to Dirk Borgognone of Reno, Nev. for a 68-yard connection in 1985. The kick was good enough to beat the Washington state record of 62 by five yards, however. 
Record-breaking or not, this kick is certainly a major accomplishment.
The NFL record for the longest field goal was set in 1970 by Tom Dempsey at 63 yards, although the record has been tied on several occasions since.
According to ESPN.com via The Seattle Times, Rehkow already has a partial scholarship offer from Eastern Washington and has made field goals of 52 and 56 yards this season. After this impressive feat, it stands to reason that Rehkow will see a whole lot more attention from college coaches.
The game also saw Shadle Park quarterback Brett Rypien set the state record for passing yards in a single game with 577. @ bleacherreport.com
